Stand up to Bully's!!

Hi all! Today has been a good day.

 Never let anyone tell you, you can’t do anything to stop someone from bothering you.  It is possible to use the system to help you that is why, it is there.  So many say that no one will do anything, don’t bother but that isn't true.  All you need to do is find the right people to help you.  You just have to take the time to look for them.  It may not always be easy and you may hit a few dead ends but there is someone out there who can help you.

It is amazing how when someone is spreading lies and others say don’t let it bother you, it will stop or no one will believe them.  All that may be true but today with the internet, it can hurt you.  The mental toll it takes to face people and pretend nothing is bothering you can wear you down and cause real physical pain.  When those around you know what’s going on but believe it is harmless, have never really felt what you are feeling.  Always wondering what is going to be said next is nerve racking.  To me it is when you see others believing these lies and repeating them without knowing you actually does just as much harm.  It lowers self-esteem, even in the strongest people.  It also makes you lose faith in others that they can believe such terrible lies without really knowing what is going on.

Even I know how that feels but I also know how to fight it, without violence. Something similar happened to me recently and what this person said about me bothered me but not as much as what she was saying about my loved ones.  The sad part was realizing she had been doing this for years, to my family and others.  I don’t believe that I was so blind to what was going on.  Well I won a small battle with her today, so maybe now she will think twice before doing it to my family or anyone else.

That is another point I want to bring up.  People who do this, spread lies (bully others) have done it before, and those victims didn't have the knowledge or strength to stop them.  So the next time someone does or says something these people don’t like they it starts all over again.  It goes on and on until someone stands up to them.  We need more people to stand up and stop these people.  They set terrible examples to children and they think it is ok.  This idea they have that if you don’t like someone, or they don’t like how they look or talk, whatever, they think, okay it worked before I will do it again.  But we can stop these people by standing up to them.  Show them that you are strong, that the truth is stronger than any lie.

You must remember a few things when dealing with people like this.  Never threaten violence.  Don’t lower yourself to their level.  Name calling and swearing are a no-no.  Never say anything that you cannot prove.  Your best bet with them is do-not tell them anything that they don’t need to know.  And if it is in writing (like on the internet) only deal with what they have said, I find in most cases they say one thing one day and something different the next. 

If this happens to you and nothing you try works to stop them, ask others for help.  They may know a different angle (legal) that can help.  Just remember do not threaten them in any way, that pisses them off, actually you need to remember that when you stand up to them their attack may increase.  You are challenging them.  Something they are not used too, in most cases they end up scaring their victim off.  So they are free to do it again to someone else.  It worked for them in the past.

Well today I won a small battle and I thank those who helped me, maybe next time this person goes after someone, they will remember how this one ended.

Hard to trust them "old people"

 An old couple who hadn't celebrated Halloween in a long time decided to dress up and go out.

The old woman went into her bedroom, stripped naked and tied a lemon between her legs.

When she came out, the old man cried, "You can't go out like that!"

She said, "I can go anyway I want to!"

Whereupon he retired to the bedroom and came out stark raving naked with a potato tied to his tallywhacker.

The old woman says, "You're going out like that?" and he replies, "Yep, if you can go as a sour-puss, I can go as a dick-tator.”
