It is about a little boy, 7 months old, don't worry it is a good story.
Before he was born it was discovered he had Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) called Transposition of the Great Arteries (d-TGA). (the "great" arteries are reversed in their origins from the heart, with the aorta connected to the right ventricle, and the pulmonary artery connected to the left ventricle-exactly the opposite of the normal heart's anatomy) Here is the address to the article I found on-line:
Gives Back Fundraiser in Honour of Jack White
When he was born he had to have to surgery's to correct this problem. Happy to say that to date all has worked out and he is a normal 7 month old baby. Everything seems to be great, his heart is normal and it looks like all that remains are the scars from the surgery. I am so happy for him and his parents plus 2 older brothers.
Here is the address for the video I saw on CHCH news: The heart of a fighter I do not know how to post the video's from this site.
The reason I put this here is two fold, one to share this good news that a child has been saved and two that there is a Charity Ball called Jack Gives Back in Hamilton at the Renaissance Hall on February 9, 2013. Here are the details:

Very sweet story; he is such a cute kid. And I'm so happy it ends so well! How nice that they're giving back.
ReplyDeleteYes that is what I thought, so i decided to share. Anything to keep kids happy and healthy! And the Ball has two purposes, to celebrate the health of Jack and to raise money to help more kids!!! ;~)
ReplyDeleteYeh for Jack ;o) Thanks for sharing this Alice ;o)
